Intellectual Property (IP) is an area of law which frequently requires cross-border interaction. Accordingly, translations are often needed in this area. Our special interest in IP comes from Adam Ailsby's experience working in the legal division of BMG Music. On leaving BMG he had the opportunity to specialise in IP translating on a freelance basis; it quickly became clear that IP translating would form the specialisation of the new company.
It is our philosophy to continually seek to broaden our knowledge of the subject. Adam attends courses at the Berlin Humboldt University. He also furthers his understanding through books and articles, as well as seeking discussions with experts in the field. This leads to an improved fundamental grasp of this area, which in turn leads to a higher quality of translation.
