Process Oriented Approach
Core to the way Ailsby Language Services works is the idea of a structured, methodical approach to every job undertaken. In this way our clients can have complete confidence every time.
Our approach is defined by four straightforward yet important principles:
Cost Certainty (Quote)
With new clients in particular, a quote is requested prior to the start of a new job. Our quote confirms the size of the job, either an exact or approximate costing depending on your requirements, deadline and type of translation.
This is free and without obligation, and can be via e-mail or, if you prefer, by telephone.
Absolute Clarity (Confirmation E-mail)
In order to eliminate any confusion or misunderstanding, prior to the start of any job (and in particular where details have been discussed and agreed by telephone), we will e-mail our summary of the work to be undertaken for your confirmation.
At this stage we may also request any relevant material that could help us to complete the work, for example in-house glossaries or additional background texts to enhance understanding.
Translation Precision
a) We will complete the work to the agreed deadline and deliver it to you as agreed (usually via e-mail). If we have any questions or need to clarify any details with you regarding the translation, we will contact you during the translation process.
b) When translating texts, we take into account layout, formatting, readability, style, repetition of words, etc. to produce accurate and polished copy.
c) All our translations are proofread by a second pair of eyes prior to delivery to the client. We believe this is important, as a "double check" to ensure our high standards are maintained.
Punctual Invoicing
We understand it is important for our clients to receive an invoice as soon as possible after the job is completed, as in most cases they have to reconcile the costs with their own clients. Our bespoke bookkeeping ensures our invoices are sent in a timely fashion.
